Hello All, I purchased a wiper pivot bush set off ebay some time ago and got round to attempting to fit them today. The nylon bushes have a round hole and the wiper pivots have a hexagonal shaft. If anyone has had any experience in fitting these could they please point me in the right direction Cheers Frank

If you are referring to the panel that the chrome work is attached to then you need to remove one guard atleast as this panel wedges in from the back, from memory there are also screws attaching this panel to the guards, panel under the grille also needs to be removed
Hope this helps Frank

Welcome to the Forum Nice looking car Rach, looks like a good starting point for a restoration-being a complete car and running makes a big difference. Just to change the subject, to combat rats in the shed we put rat bait in a few places normally under the bench and shelving where the dog can't get at it and top it up when it goes missing don't have any rat problems since we've been doing that. Pearlcraft do a fantastic job I highly recommend them, and look forward to more progress pics cheers Frank

Technical Board / Restoration Help / Re: outside sunvisor

What you need to do is get a block of wood place against the back edge of the strip on the top side and tap it gently with a mallet progressively working your way along. You will need someone to hold the sunvisor sections for you as this will help stop you from hitting the strip too hard and damaging it. The same method can be used for the stainless strip along the gutter edge with the block of wood placed underneath and tapping gently with a mallet care needs to be taken not to bend the strip so you will need an assistant to help hold the strip as you are removing it Cheers Frank

Technical Board / Restoration Help / Re: FC Door Adjustment

I found I needed to stretch the rubbers as I installed them to reduce their thickness, the inner rubbers for example I got two doors out of each one. As when I installed one in its full length it held the door open and didn't let it shut properly. If you are in the local club ask an experienced member if they will take a look for you before you make any mods to the vehicle especially if everything lined up perfectly before painting as you could damage or bend something unnecessarily. Cheers Frank
