Ladies and gents,

It seems that there is still some demand from people wanting the cylinder head gaskets, so I will do another round (I've had 250 made so far). Same deal as the last two times:

http://forum.fefcholden.club/index.php?topic=27187.0

Rough timing for the process:
a) I'll collect expressions of interest from these forum posts. I need at least 50 nominations to make a gasket run. Not sure how long it will take to get 50 nominations - please be patient.
b) Once we have 50 nominations, tor those who express an interest, you get a month to pony up the funds to me. First time round I only had two guys who didn't bother paying, last time round only one late payer.
c) I'll place the order, and AA Gaskets will let us know the timing.
d) When the gaskets arrive, I'll parcel them up in plywood (like last time) and send them to you. Note that it is cheaper if you combine postage with a few mates, or as a Club.

Cheers,
Harv (deputy apprentice gasket scraper).

Quick update. I now have nominations for 27 gaskets. Assuming I'm stupid enough to buy 10 (for the latecomers), I still need another 13 orders to meet the 50 units required for a production run.

G'day Weddo,

I am not sure of the maximum bore size. The gaskets are based off the AA Gaskets standard grey motor gasket. Because the gasket bore holes are a funky shape (to match the head), it is difficult to work it out by measuring. I've send a question to AA Gaskets, and will post the answer here once they respond.

Ladies and gents,

We now have enough gasket nominations to make an order. My aim is to place the order on Friday, 19th July.

If I have not received your nomination by then, you will have missed the boat.

I will finalise the pricing (should be very similar to the last two batches) and contact nominees shortly.

Cheers,
Harv

Still waiting for a response from AA gaskets. I took some rough measurements yesterday with a set of verniers whilst fitting one of the new gaskets to the FB. Hard to tell, as the gasket bore hole is not round, and my hands/eyes are not particularly steady. I reckon it is good for at least 3 7/32" bore. Will see what AA gaskets comes back with though.

Ladies and gents,

AA Gaskets have confirmed that the gaskets are good for a bore which is 3 1/16” plus 60 thou oversize.

I have the following orders for gaskets:

FX/FJ forum
CarlFC (6 gaskets)
Richard Fox (4 gaskets)
Alfihar (5 gaskets)
Loz (2 gaskets)
Spanners (2 gaskets)
Vanmatt (2 gaskets)
Huss52 (2 gaskets)
FE/FC forum
PETEACTFE (2 gaskets)
FX1975 (6 gaskets)
KFV888 (3 gaskets)
Robbo (2 gaskets)
FC0058 (2 gaskets)
MalFE (2 gaskets)
ACE (4 gaskets)
Professor Grey (2 gaskets)
Rod (1 gasket)
Total 47 gaskets

Pricing will be as follows:
a)   Gasket:   $43 per gasket.
b)   Packaging (7mm ply): $3 regardless of the number of gaskets ordered.
c)   Postage: $25 regardless of the number of gaskets ordered.

So if you want one gasket, you owe me $71.
If you want two gaskets, you owe me $114.
If you want three gaskets, you owe me $157
If you want four gaskets, you owe me $200
If you want five gaskets, you owe me $243
If you want six gaskets, you owe me $286

I will send each of you a PM over the next day or so, including means to pay me. Payment is due by Wednesday 14th August (3 weeks from now). Once I receive the gaskets from AA Gaskets I will package them up, include the instruction sheets and mail them to you. Note that like the last two batches these gaskets do not come with warranty from either me or AA Gaskets.

Cheers,
Harv (deputy apprentice gasket scraper).

Ladies and Gents,

I've received a mystery PayPal payment from one of you. It was for two gaskets ($114), was sent on the 3rd of August, and used Gary Adams PayPal account. There was no other detail on the PayPal transaction, and I'm not sure what forum user this is. If it is your payment, please let me know. To stop someone claiming the payment illegally, you will need to confirm the email address that was used.

Cheers,

Ladies and gents,

I have received payment for 35 of the gaskets (with thanks), though am out of pocket still for 13. I need funds urgently please from the following people:
CarlFC (6 gaskets)
KFV888 (3 gaskets)
Robbo (2 gaskets)
FC0058 (2 gaskets)

Gaskets have been manufactured, and are ready to send to me. I’m currently on the road for work, so the plan is to receive them when I get home, and have them into the post around the 26th of August.

Cheers,
Harv
