I think with a small centre cap in 17inch they will be real subtle should look nice. (hopefully)

Todays project well it took me 5min to draw slight stuff up so I have to modify it a bit but I knocked up a pedal box.
I machined the bushes from brass and cut the pedal arm from 6mm mild
Hopefully I get it done tomorrow and I can sell it as a kit.

Nice work as usual Pete.

I like how you have the tabs that slot together to help retain the shape as you weld.

what length arm and pedal ratio did you end up with?

Well that didnt work
So I re did another at 5am.
The tab with the m6 button head will be the 3/4 pin and the pedal will have tube welded into the end and ill run brass bushes.
I copied a vs commodore for ratio ed.




And I got lazy with the tabs on this one .
I put tabs on the firewall piece and plug welded thru them.

Was in a hurry today so not many pics
I finished the pedal box
Machined a tube and welded to the top of the pedal arm
Machined brass bushes pressed them into the pedal arm .
Then machined a 3/4 pin and welded the lock tab on .
It fits perfect really happy with it feels really solid.

awesome stuff, I would love to learn AutoCAD

ps VT is a bolt straight unit as JB will also support (for others) unless you have a recessed booster like Pete (and you get the double diaphragm booster 4:1 and quick refill master for twin piston callipers).

Keep on chugging.
Got the pedal box finished.
I wasnt happy how the front cover  latch assembly finished with a raw edge so i shrunk everywhere where it was "puckered" and extended it 15mm the i cut it so it has a 15mm offset arc then welded a 5mm round bar to the edge and smoothed it in.



So front end and all the grille shed ect are going to blaster tuesday then off to paint.

I have been putting off the tunnel stiffener as it was going to be a bastard of a job so i cut 15mm strips and used the shrinker and stretcher to get the arc perfect then i welded them in and welded a strip in the centre of it . took some marking out as its tapered 2 ways.

Its saying my cars an FE ? Could it of had a different subframe fitted ?
But the grille assembly is really earlly FC it has chrome over steel slats ?

According to a bulletin dated 15 Dec 1958, the "FC" prefix started on vehicles after this date. So early FC's like this one had "8" prefix rather than "FC"

Unsure yet on colours.

What do people do with there chassis numbers being so faint ?

I re engraved mine and did a rebirth today Cheesy i will tack the old tag under the dash or something just didnt want to have to re stamp it.
