I bought another set of seats from a EK, I thought fe through to ek where the same, but it seems the rear seat top is different. the ek is flat and fc would be more rounded to follow the back shelf. oh and i need a script for the glove box door.

FE/FC Front Seats are also taller than FB/EK, from memory about 5cms.

The reason for the back seat being smaller & flatter is the rear screens sit lower in the body so the parcel shelf is lower. Jim

I would put FB_EK front seats in FE_FC and get them upholstered to suit to avoid the plastic seat trims of the FE_FC cracking down to the seat slide knob and pinching my crotch getting in and out . Keep posting pics I'm really enjoying watching the progress . Haydn

Don't know how you feel about it, but you could cut the centre support down and put a few cuts in the edge of the parcel shelf and push it down so it sits below the seat. Jim

I was thinking when i get the new seat covering from Street Trim, maybe he will be able to make some padding to go there?

I was thinking when i get the new seat covering from Street Trim, maybe he will be able to make some padding to go there? Padding in that area wouldn't hold, it is only a thick wire frame, you could bend the frame but that will likely pull the sides in. You'd be better off with the right seat frame in the first place, I am sure I have one around here it wouldn't add much more to the cost of freight.

Could be just the right contrast with the trim.

Nick, granite grey/India ivory? same colours as mine although mine is the second generation paint(splitter on rear quarter) looks great. You'll be surprised how the chrome will change the look of the paint, once the car is back together it will bring it all together. By the way, I'll get the roof bows and mould priced tomorrow. Jim

its granite grey/India ivory, but the paint shop didn't have the mix codes so took a sample of one of the old doors. i did try the stainless side strip on it and it did look better.
