You have no idea how bad i feel that im having a lot of my car built by someone i dont really know but the fact is work and familly are more important at the current time. work is too volatile with the current climate so the more i keep my customers happy the better off i am. A lot of people dont have work at the moment and a select few companys have been copying my designs trying to undercut me. the company i have doing the work is doing an EK sedan with a LS6 in it and the work is extremelly well engineered and quality so im pretty happy ill get what i want.
Pete

If you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to.

Or you could do what I am going to do... Queensland engineer, drive/truck it to QLD get it registered, drive back home and change over the rego to VIC. No RWC required as long as its got rego. Legal to go to 5ltr. Or 4ltr with a turbo for FE/FC Where there is a will there is a relative... JB Ill try my luck at bribing someone first then i might have to bite the bullet and talk to my brother in law.
I drive to Brisbane all the time mate. Sling me your trailer...... You find a good engineer cause I'll be needing the same guy, tell hime he has two coming. My FC is still QLD registered.

Progress In 1 week they have achieved more than i have in 2 years and cut most of the work out as we are going a different route. As they are working they are emailing me profiles and i am cutting on the waterjet and express shipping parts overnight New rails cut and sent. Some massive stuff about to happen the next few weeks Stay tuned. I know its cheating but its the only way i will see it done. works quite well as i see cutting parts and pieces as a job for a customer it has to be done so ill keep that frame of mind. yes that is a bare can in that back end. And a lot of work repairing them rails laying on the ground in a million pieces. Pete

If i keep cutting and supplying they stay on top of it then and always have the parts on hand. New inner sills cut and folded this morning, diff ready to be strengthened going full billet axles, new lsd ,new gears, bearings ect. ready to deliver it all in the morning for them. Very pissed off tho dellow made the bellhousing 2 years ago and i bolted it all together and the starter motor bolt holes are 10mm out of alignment.

Pete, progress looks good, did you end up pressing the inner sills with the portholes or did you go with the flat ones? Regards Jim

The old girl is getting a new set of shoes 18X10 Intro smoothies powder coated indian ivory with custon mounts to fit the FE S/S hubcaps so i am now chasing either NOS or mint FE caps 2 of as i have 2 good ones?
Also fitting "air ride" Accuride baggs front and rear with accuride controller self levvelling system and dial any height you want. So when you start the car it will automatically lift to the set height.
Bloody photobuckets playing up ill post pics soon.
Pete

Here is the ride height with the bag deflated it will be 50mm off the deck (or 100mm dialled in when the Engineer looks) The new Rails i cut are getting installed. The New style of bag has a new design shock in it so we will get 300mm of travel no speed humps will worry me now. These arent my rims just exact diameter and tyre size. A big thanks to Laurie at the Chop Shop for making it all happen (and the mint FC wagon owner for letting me borrow a wheel)
