Had a productive couple of days, Dynamat fitted to roof, radiator support modified (again), intake pipe bracket made and Rocker cover cleaned up and first coated, if you are doing Dynamat don't pay $35 for a roller off e-bay i picked up a fiberglass roller for  $9.95 and put a bit of plastic hose over the top to cover the sharp bits, worked perfectly, hood lining can go in now.  Grin Grin

I had a stainless steel adaptor to mount the air flow meter straight onto the air flow meter but you made one allready.

Pretty well finished under the bonnet just waiting on a new set of plug leads, I've been looking for red ones but had to settle for black in the end, thanks to Pete for the intake pipe, you're a legend mate it looks shit hot.

You should've put a 90 degree bend in the air intake and stuck an oil-bath filter on top  Grin

well, Pedro, a certain FE driver who we both know got right up me for having a 'flamey thing' (radiator cap) under the bonnet which she took exception to, and considered in very poor taste, so you had better get things just right under there if you're still planning on having yummy pudding this Christmas.....    Wink

cheers, jack

looks great Pedro,

like the black dynamat... makes a huge improvement to cabin comfort.

PS with the roller I use a wall paper roller,it has a dense rubbber wheel

I think it needs bright purple leads.

Cheers

That was the original plan as it was red before i re-painted it but i'm a bit worried about mucking it up, anyone got any techniques for painting raised letters neatly.

At the risk of no pud for Chrissy a flame radiator cap sounds good to me Jack it would go with the red, black and silver theme well, I'll have to go and have a look at your post/page, where did you get yours from.

Purple plug leads ED?? didn't know you were Italian Wink LOL

Wheels painted and front tyres changed for 195's as i was a bit concerned the 205's would scrape, I reckon i could squeeze 225's under the back when these need replacing, not sure whether to run dress rims or not any opinions on the subject.

Pedro, I think there's a sorta pic of it on my car thread somewhere- it's polished alloy, circular, with 'flames' cut into it.. check the pic; if you want it, it's yours - will cost ya one beer or rum next time we meet, plus another for the postage...  Wink Smiley
(where the flames are cut in would be real easy to fill with red paint too...  Cool but fitting this might compromise your pudding... then again; maybe not - you haven't got ghost flames under your bonnet; I think these were the reason for a certain persons strong objection to the flamey radiator cap... and as much as I'm loathe to admit it publicly, she's right - as usual  Embarrassed Roll Eyes)

re the wheels; suggestion - keep the current centre caps or replace with polished alloy spun bullets  Cool Cool Cool, paint the centre of the wheel satin black and the actual rim with 'aluminium' paint, no chrome trims necessary, or paint the whole wheel satin black and fit chrome trims, either normal or 'hotrod' style...  Cool Cool Cool  (but then again, my tastes might be a bit off/out there...  Grin)

cheers, jack
