Pedro, you will need to add a brace onto the booster to stop firewall flex when you stomp on the anchors. I needed this in the van.
Cheers JB

Thanks heaps. Our town is about to go under water tonight , lucky im out of town on a rise (near Horsham). Thanks heaps for pics. I was more worried about the gaps at the front of engine. What would have you done different if u did it again in terms of engine fitment. Is that an xb falcon booster or holden and gemini booster? where did u put clutch master again? is the floor pedals from VL recommended or do u think just as easy to fabricate the whole thing yourself? Cheers Dean.

What would have you done different if u did it again in terms of engine fitment Put in a V6 , seriously though there's not much I could have done differently, the engine can only go in one spot as it fills the whole engine bay, with the way the intake manifold sits I don't see how you could fit a clutch master cylinder setup unless you fit it under the dash somehow, the booster is a Commodore one with an altered bracket, I used the FC brake pedal with a Commodore footpad welded to it, the rod will even fit if you make the bracket the right size, the accelerater was easy just drill out the spot welds and use C'dore bits. I was hoping I wouldn't need it as the bracket is so short and the booster is pretty solid, I hadn't thought of the firewall flexing though. I dunno JB - reckon Pedro would never be going that fast.... Nah not me I'm a respectable driver, just like Jack Pedro

I wouldn't have thought that the firewall would flex that much. Is it common to have to fit a brace for the booster?

I learnt about the firewall flex when I did the van from a very early post on here. When tested it moved about an inch under pedal load. To fix this I made the battery box that screwed onto the booster, out of the commodore there is also a bracket for the flex. Just food for thought. Cheers JB

Pedro Good to see all falling back into place. The Trumpy looks great not sure of the model standing with it though Can't wait to see your wagon up and running and on the road. Boonah isn't too far from where I live. I sometimes head to Beaudesert to see Rod from Rod's Racks. Might catch up at some stage. Cheers Craig D
