Alex

Here's a great idea, you get to watch all the scenery, someone else does all the driving and hey presto at the end the car is there for you.

http://www.gsr.com.au/our-trains/indian-pacific/taking-your-car.php

You get a to ride of of the great train journeys in the world too!

Not only that you can have a drink or three while the train is travelling, get up and stretch your legs etc

Just an idea Roll Eyes

Hi Surferboy

We're staying overnight at Hay on the 30th so we might see you cruisin' the main street that night unless you're off looking for Murrumbidgee swells.  Grin

We're going direct to Orange the next day though and we might even have a blue & white FC from down the Sth East keeping us company on that stretch - if he can keep up with us! Tongue Luv ya Jack!  Kiss Kiss

Surferboy
I can understand why they think your a nutter "Your going via your arm pit to get to your elbow and some" .

Its a pitty I transported my car to Adelaide, I could have given you a run for your money in the trophy stakes, I reckon they have an entant from Timbucktoo coming to Orange so you might not be a shoe in this time round.

Hey Surferboy,

I'm sitting in Wudinna as I write this (my son is the local doctor here).  Things to see in Wudinna:  A huge granite sculpture titled "The Australian Farmer" as a tribute to the cockies, and Mt. Wudinna, the 2nd largest monolith (after Eyres Rock - Uluru).  Not far out of town, and you can climb it for exercise and great views of the surrounding country.

Looking at google earth I see that it has an airport, a swimming pool, a railway and a main street - what else can you ask for? Also, if you were heading east you would have two choices just out of town - left or right.
