dont know how i did it but i managed to get on the site from the middle of nowhere ?
i was hoping to do a daily diary of our trip to mt gambier
but it might be more of a "whenever i get connection "diary  Grin Huh

fri 7 mar
left Perth late (suprise suprise ) got a bit of rain on trip to Hyden

went surfing but got wiped out (suprise suprise)

had engine problems, tried to fix them myself
it took a while to figure out what this bit of the engine was  Huh Roll Eyes

cruised through Ravensthorpe and found these


continue on the 600km trip to Norseman
Heres the local tourist attraction



had promised Cathy a romantic dinner so i took her to the most romantic place in town


Caught up with Brad & Gemma cruising to mt gambier with thier caravan

Hit the highway and started heading east
had rained overnight but dried up and stayed cool and overcast  Smiley

traffic on the highway


just tie the steering wheel to the 1/4 vent put a brick on the accelerator


caught up with carrots & daggsey at Eucla

I'd post a picture of Ceduna here but the town was closed

looks like a great time your all having don,t like the idea of havin a freightliner road train up me rear thou
ps done the trip on a honda 4 about 30 years ago had a sore arse for a couple of weeks .keep the updates flowing

weekend in Bendigo
they have those funny trains that stop in the middle of the road   Huh


was only 37degrees in Bendigo and no driving to do
so
we drove the 100km to Echuca where it was HOTTER......... AGAIN !
passed lots of Rods cruising the other way (Rich River Rod Run )

outside Holden Museum


had a toothache so had some dentistry done


did the tourist stuff
had fun at Bendigo Pottery



created a one off


STILL HAVING LOTS OF FUN
Wagon's still running good, so i'm starting to relax (a little bit)

They celebrate occasions for a long time out here

They were celebrating St Pats Day when we were in Broken Hill


we got dressed up for the occasion



and now we're in Bendigo and we're celebrating again


one to many Guinessessessseess

The Irish make much better burgers than that scottish burger bloke

can't wait for O'Donalds burger chain

Its the day for The Great Ocean Road

Got to DRIVE ( including turning corners,braking,accelerating etc)for the first time for ages
The weather is COOL
Saw lots of TREES and OCEAN for the first time for ages
Caught up with other interstaters cruising to the Nats
Did lots more sightseeing

 



the12 apostles (its one of those must do sightseeing things)

thurs 20 mar

Up early ( it's the first time we've been early for the whole trip )to cruise from Port Fairy to Mt Gambier

The guys needed an hour or two to dry thier cars because it was wet overnight and then put the carbras on

some of us just sat around watching and drinking coffee

THEN (5 minutes later )



IT RAINED
so we stopped to take them off



4,650km down......32 km to go  Grin Grin Grin
NATIONALS....HERE WE COME
