Thanks Dave, I have got this wiring diagram just cant work out what they plug into, the violet, pink and white all go to the same place as the drk blue, lght blue and the tan but i cant find anywhere under my dash for them to go. Where the drk blue wire plugs in there is a double terminal and the same with the lght blue but only one of each are being used. Would they get their power from these? if all that makes sense? Thanks Muzzie

White goes to brake switch. Pink & violet are rear blinkers. the two blue are front. yellow, power in. another pink from ing to flasher can. I am sorting mine out now. Doing some re-wiring as I have added separate blinkers to the rear of my 58. Forgot to mention, two other blues are for dash lights. Dave

From steering column
White - brake light switch single connector
Dark Blue - Double connector to RHF indicator & LH tell tale light
Light Blue - Double connector to LHF indicator & RH tell tale light
Yellow - flasher can single connector
Pink and Violet - go to rear indicators, there should be 2 single connectors coming from wires in the A pillar

Tan is a separate wire which is the horn

This is correct, It should be the brake light flashing regardless of whether you have the tail lights on or not.

Yes optional reverse lights. This all changes in September 1959 when the lower lenses change to orange and the blinkers move to the lower half of the tail light.

so if i havent got reverse lights the clear lenses do nothing? the red lense is brake, tail and indicator? does it just take a double element globe? Thanks Muzzie.

Yes double element globe, the brighter filament is Brake / indicator and the duller filament is tail lamp.
