Thanks guys for the comments it has been a looooong haul doing it by myself but am happy with the end result although the photos make it look better than it is.
I keep saying red ones go faster, the red is called Sunrise Red or New Red and it was a Holden Colour in the early seventies I believe and the white is called Fowlers Ivory which was a sixties Holden colour or so I am led to believe.
Hoping for rego before the end of the month now onto the EK ute project.

Went for inspection last Friday at Kelscott Motor Registery the guys there were great and as you can see my sedan is now wearing number plates.
Still have some things to do (I dont think we ever really finish) but spent all weekend out driving with my wife.
can't wipe the smile off my face.

The dogs not thrilled because he isnt allowed in it  Grin

Nup, they're never finished. My dog rides with me all the time but he is a toy poodle!

Neil, I reckon the reason our cars are never finished is the minute we put number plates on them we can't stop driving them long enough to finish all the little jobs.  We, that's my excuse and I am sticking to it.  Congratulations on one very very nice FC.  Cheers, Graeme

Thanks guys really appreciate the comments.

Graeme you are right about the number plates being on and wanting to drive it all the time I had to stop myself from wanting to drive it to work the last couple of days and that was really only because the weather had turned bad over here in Perth.

Hi Nes
Yes mate the pod did get approved but it was funny my engineer did not make mention of it or the extractors and I had forgotten to list them in my build sheets however the inspector just said that he would add them to the permit and it was all good maybe I was lucky.
I must mention that in WA we do not get a plate that is attached to the firewall we get a paper permit that lists all of the approved modifications this must be kept in the car at all times so I assume that if you get pulled over the nice policeman can check that I have not changed anything from the approval.

And Nes it took me 14 years so I think you will be finished alot quicker than I was and be able to enjoy your car sooner I hope that the new project doesnt take as long  Grin

Neil, I have had many curve balls halting my progress so your story makes me not want to give up on my 2 holdens. Hope you are still enjoying the car.

Cheers

Just thought I would show an update on the console I have been trying to finish still have a couple of little bits to tweek but am pretty happy with it for a first attempt.
Certainly would not want to do this as a job.
Thanks to Paul (Chopped) from the FB EK Forum for helping with the first template and the ideas.
