I have a Commodore Accelerator pedal but in the rush to complete the car (for the Philip Island Nats all those years ago Roll Eyes ) I fitted in the easiest location, but obviously not the best for the operation of the pedal.
I'd appreciate some feedback and pictures on the best location that provides comfortable operation and full travel.

I just basically put it where the booster hole was cut for simplicity... Different floor though than the original.

Cheers

Thanks JB, from memory the difficulty was where the cable came through the firewall, as I have a booster on the firewall my choices were limited.

Anyone else?

I went with the VT setup as it fit fairly straight forward (JB loves this combo too)

I have a complete set from a VS and never tried to fit it but will check in the next few days.

Sorry I don't have a pic but there is a flat piece of firewall just south of and to the left of my booster (looking from the engine bay). It seemed to be just perfect for both the pedal position and cable entry past the booster. Booster was a UC item.

Stinky

I will take some extra photos as I have fitted the cable between the VN V8 booster and the inner guard.

I have modded the mount and adjusted the angles for the pedal to get the required travel.

The pedal mounts quite near where the original handbrake mounts through the firewall.

Will try and post tomorrow night.

Regards

Stinky

Please find some photos on the location of the accelerator cable access through the firewall. Please note it is a VN  V8 Booster.

I have removed the section from the donor car and drilled a hole to suit diameter then spot welded from inside and seal with sikaflex from inside.

Hope this helps

Cheers

I am about to rip out my VT setup as I have to clean out the engine bay. Did you want me to hold in the VS version to show you?

I think these look like VS pedals?
