I could be way, way wrong (and often am
), but I understand the control arm shaft remover and replacer (3A4) looks like this:
(this is the Litchfield version, E1882). This allows you to screw the upper and lower control arm shafts in and out. It looks to have a thread of 3/4-10 UNC.
The tool Martin has is designed to screw onto something, then belt the snot out of it (
), kinda like the wheel bolt peening drift (tool 3A7) or crankshaft balancer replacer (6A2). The thread dimensions are similar to the 3A4, but look closer to 7/8-9UNC.
Again, I could well be wrong.
