Got a bit more done today, dropped the seat frames and the new covers off at the trimmers this morning and then back in the shed. Stone guarded the under floor and sprayed the Lizard skin soundproofing all over the interior and boot. Tomorrow a mate is coming over to cut and bend new brake and fuel lines, so I'll post some shots when finished. Next on the list is to finish fitting up the power windows with new channels and locating plates and then reskin the doors. Slowly working my way down the list to the finish line.

Bugger, no work today hopefully next weekend although I will have new braided hoses, new EJ brake shoes and wheel cylinders to fit up when my mate comes over.

My mate chucked a sicky so the brake/fuel lines are on hold for now, so had to do a few other things in the meantime.
Finished off the sound proofing inside the body and boot areas.

also the soneguard under the floor

and the first test fit of the front clip guards and bonnet

so far so good just a few minor adjustments and the front end and guards will fit real snug.
Hopefully some more work next weekend.

Finally had a bit more time in the shed today, made up and welded in the final piece of the LH outer sill. Just have to clean up the welds and the body is all done. Now to finish the doors and fit the skins, put the rear end in and refit and seal the front end in place. I will also pull the motor down and check that everything is all good internally as well as having the Strommies rebuilt and the manifold bead tumbled and new linkages fitted. I will post a couple of photos when I pick them up tomorrow afternoon.

One very happy camper!!! I picked up the rebuilt carbies today and could not be happier.
Nigel from Extreme Fuel Systems has worked his magic and given me a real neat package
that is going to look fantastic in the engine bay.

The manifold and housings have been tumble cleaned and then fully rebuilt with matching jets and power valves. Also the
linkages have been custom made to suit with hex bar and adjustable rods so they all work as one without any delays. Once the engine is back together Nigel will give me a hand to fine tune everything so it all runs the way it should (can't wait).

Thanks John, it has been a big job and there was a few times where I could have chucked it all in, but I just stepped back, shut the roller door and did something else. There is light at the end of the tunnel and it is becoming brighter, as I have said, I hope to be back on the road mid year so I have enough time to iron out any problems before the nationals.
