Am going to go with triple 1 /4" SU's on my grey motor, I've got a manifold and am looking for some 1 1/4" SU carbs. Anyone got any at all they want to part with? even if I get them one at a time as long as I can make up a set.

When you find some try and collect them so they have the float bowls on the left hand side when looking from the air cleaner (floats to the front), gives more room with the back carb, and minimises fuel surge.  That way the fuel flows towards the main jet when accelerating

Thanks for the fuel bowl / firewall tip I'm still looking, the Wagga Swap is on soon and there is usually a bit of pommie stuff there. In the meantime I'm going to redo the head and have a post up in the modification section.

There was a set of polished ones on ebay last week at rutherford near my joint $350 start and they didnt sell i think?

the whole lot linkages manifold..

hello
we used a some su carbys of a mini 850 of a FJ ute ( there is two different types fuel bowls   , if you live in Sydney there is a leyland wreckers out near milperra/bankstown

Look for a Jag E type set. Then, when you get a set:
