Blok Nice work  you could have used a HR sway bar and turned it upside down and put a scallop in the outrigger and weld in a half round for reinforcement ......FC427 .... |

Also repositioned the engine mounts on the HR front end ,i had to raise them up so the gilmer belt drive would clear the swaybar I had a similar problem with the metal fan not clearing the sway bar, someone pointed out that an EK swaybar has a dip in it, swapped them and it's all good. |

Pulled this blower heater out of a 60 series toyota landcruiser ,it comes from under the drivers seat and is a small size so i will try to fit it up as a demister   |

Hey blok, I used the very same heater great little unit. I mounted mine vertically under the dash with the two pipes coming through the firewall at about the height of the head. For hoses use heater hose from a commodore vh I think. These have a 90 deg bend and reach the water pump with ease. You may find you will need to use spacers to bring the heater body away from the inside firewall otherwise the pipes will foul on the engine.
As far as demister setup I had someone make up an aluminum box with two 50mm outlets at the front and two smaller approx 25mm at the back for demister hose..
Let me know if you need some pics and I will see what I can dig up.

Looks like we are goimg to have another wet weekend here in sunny Coffs Harbour but still plenty i can do in the shed Was hoping to get the engine bay painted but will have to see what tomorrow brings Found this picture of the old girl the day i went to check it out after seeing her on evilbay  And after a wash at home  |

Great stuff Smithy that does help ,the shroud on the bottom looks simple enough and what did you use for the ducting is that vacuum cleaner suction hose ,Cheers mate

Hi Wayne hows that Ute of yours going ,mate the 6mm plate is heaps strong enough and gives you plenty of clearance and easy enough to install I just cut the shape out of cardboard and my mate put it through the roller ,i used a longer piece than was needed so i could bend and manipulate the curve if needed

Nice looking car BLOK, I didn't know your car is a Standard or a Business Sedan ? either one, it's a rare model, just as it left the factory, without blinkers.

Well spotted, actually swimming pool suction hose. But I did use vacuum cleaner ends for the demister vents  , to switch between demister and heat I just turn the heater vents to closed, simply redirecting the heat. Simple but works.  This is the other one I wanted to show Dean |
