maroon is nice tacking the front wall in now, have reinforced the forward tub rail and built a frame to support the front wall. Using the round tube allows me to roll the edges over and get a nice edge... I couldn't work out how else to do it without specialised sheet forming tools. things are coming together nicely, just need to finish up the welding. Cheers Ed    |

Door gaps are easy. Fit to get the best panel alignment, then cut, re-weld and file back the edges to get the gap right... at least that's how I do them these days... well worth the effort. The only way to get good gaps.

After what seemed an eternity of tacking, welding and filing. the front wall is attached, the top panel made and the front edge of the tub repaired (not in pics). I stood back and thought it almost looks the shape of a hot rod cowl. the pics show the progress made. The next step for me is to etch, prime and wire it up before Matt takes it home to finish up the body and paint it. Will hook it up behind my car and takes some pics for a better perspective. Fantastic work on that trailer. Loved the idea of moving the rear window frame area forward to make the tub more useable. Excellent work!

Thanks Keith and Stinky, I got busy again and primed the trailer and then wooded out the interior. it's only temporary, but all the wood can be used as templates. I may re-do the forward panels as I got lazy and thought it would be the same size as the rear.. but it's not, it rises half an inch... never noticed that before. I am after 4 x dual circuit tail light bulb holders.. can anybody help?    Cheers Ed |
