Of course NASCO originated in the States & GMH took it & used it as their spare parts arm. The earliest listing I have ever seen, was for a 1937 Chevrolet (Maple Leaf) parts book & the parts were listed as supplied by Nasco. All the GM branded cars used NASCO as their spare parts department.
At one time, while I was looking in to a Patent on something else, as did a search on the actual NASCO name. Due to it not being used in Australia anymore. Thought it might be fun to register it...BUT, it is still owned by GM in the US. Shame
As for the colour in this particular catalogue? It was Red writing on a white-ish background.
As Ken stated, lots of different colours.
Very curious though...may have to dig some old books out
