So now that I am back in NZ, my brother starts sending me pics of stuff as it arrives.

To quote him "Just like Christmas except I get to open your presents!"

So here was my first present.. I think more bits arriving tonight.

I have the original scratch plates, and am not sure if it will look better or not...

So while contemplating this I have left them off for the moment, figuring it's only 2 screws.

What's the general consensus guys?

They have been around a long time and have heard good things...

I get to see the end result am there on the 2nd so will be able to see what it is like, but will put up more shots as I get them from my brother.

So got to Melbourne again for 3 days and tried to get as much time on the ute as possible... Near on 38 hours in 3 days was good fun.

Started by putting a little bling on and then getting the gaps right. Can't remember having so much trouble in the van 13 years ago. But in the end after a day and a half we had it gapped up and even the door rubbers put on. Have to say that the new Loctite glue in amazing, but have to get it right the first time or you are screwed.

Then got some bling on the back, changed it heaps! I lucked in with the tailgate emblem, and looked better with the paint on.

Some of the chrome came back with bubbles in it so. It's going back to get redone! Was pretty shattered that it didn't come up well, and the bumperettes were not viable to have to find another one.

Just before I left, threw in the engine cover... It got repainted today but shouldn't look too much different than the photo.

Can't wait to get back and do some more, but don't know when that will be yet.

Cheers
JB

Hi guys,

The TV's could be for anything I guess but not the intention. I got the leather seats out of a Caprice and didn't know about the TV's until Dino picked them up.

They will most likely be removed when they get re covered.

Going to try and finish the outside first with the rest of the chrome and getting the lights and blinkers to work, and the tailgate latches on, also need to find some sedan rear door latches to get re chromed, as the door latches I have are no good. So if anyone has some they don't need then please PM me.

Then back to the inside which is looking pretty ugly at the moment.

Cheers

A quick shot from the inside, showing there is still a lot of work to go in here.
After the outside is done, there is going to be a lot of time spent in here to get the bugs out of the wiring, and fitting the A/C etc... One day  Roll Eyes
