Tailgate looks awesome!
How the hell does the pipes work there?
Where's the under dash unit?

Am happy with the way the tailgate came out and the look of the hinges without bolts.

Air con unit is behind the glove box so pipes go behind everything to it that way.

Haven't got a photo of it...

Well today has been a long time coming...

Didn't take long for a joker to threaten to key it! My brothers boss!

From all reports, it's straight and a good paint job so will be good to see it in the flesh!! Yes the excitement has returned somewhat.

It is a beautiful colour. I had a HQ SS repainted a similar shade. It picked up all the changes in the light throughout the day & glowed as the sun set.

You have to be happy with the way the ute has finished up, if it looks half as good in real life as it dose in the photo's then it will be spectacular. The colour really suits the ute and shows off the shape just right, I bet you can't wait to get back into it and finish it off.

Thanks for the nice comments, next I have to find some time to go over and see it in the flesh and work out what is what.
I need to move the diff back by 25mm so that will be first priority so that we can get the tail shaft made and the peer steering lines done so that we can bleed all of the systems and get it mobile under its own steam.
Then bits and  pieces like wiring the lights and wipers so that he A/C unit can be fitted under the dash.
Still a fair while away and there isn't really any hurry as I will be in NZ for another couple of years yet.
Worked out what 365 days meant too... Every time is goes somewhere to get something done, that how long until I get it back again. Paint and panel... 2 years.

Cheers

If you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to.

Question... Quarter vent windows... Is it better to pull everything apart and get the chrome done, new glass then put it all back together, or just go for the Rare Spares replacement option that has it all done?
Thoughts?

There's no one answer to that question. It's probably cheaper and more satisfying to do it yourself. But it is a time consuming and fiddly task to do as well.
I would do my own but time may be more valuable for you.
I don't think there is a problem with quality for this item.

Thanks for your reply Ken. Time I have, it's making sure that I don't bend things getting the glass out etc and being able to put rivet back in place with the desired tension etc.
I guess I will have a look when I get over to Aus and maybe bring them back to NZ to play with for a bit.

Cheers
