Think I am going to keep the scheme under wraps for the moment... but will be a single colour.

Can't get the engine in without scratching the paint so will put it in the clip first and then install.

Thats the plan anyway.

Cheers

We are hoping that it does go back the same as it came out, as we couldn't get the engine in with the subframe mounted and not touch the paint work. So even if it takes us hours to line up it will be better than scratching fresh paintwork.

Guess we will wait and see.  Shocked

Cheers

I wish I was working on it mate! Haven't seen or heard about it since I took the car to be sandblasted. Said they were closing up for Xmas and New Years. So nothing to show you in a month... Big time withdrawal symptoms! I did get 2 polished aluminum caps for the overflow/washer bottle and that's it.
Same with the engine, still no news since before Chrissy.
Hoping to have it all back by the end of the month.
Cheers

No longer have a blue car.. Few surprises but not as many as I thought may turn up.

Pick the car up on Saturday, but here are a few action snaps.

Cheers

Now let the fun begin.
JB if you keep the updates coming all the way up to the completion you will be looking at in excess of 50 pages of this rebuild.

I hope you keep all the fully in depth rebuild updates coming so that the potential modifiers and restorers out there can appreciate how much work goes into building one of these cars. And if you decide to sell the ute one day and you put a 75k price tag on it people can appreciate why such a high price.
