Great pic Shayne, Holdens certainly dominate that photo. Move forward 45 years and they would all be Japanese.

Nice ones Alex, Keep them coming. I've really lost track of ones we've posted and ones I still have in the 'post one day' folder. Still I guess nobody will complain if every now and then one of these old pictures gets posted twice... Brisbane- William Jolly Bridge.

Hey Shayne No probs with posting that pic, I have not seen it before. I couldn't resist getting a closer look at that Brisbane Blue and White Cab Co taxi. Regards Alex

Yep Alex, That is a nice one. Taxi is sporting its original issue Qld number plates from 1957. In 1961 Queensland taxi plates changed to this type pictured here, starting at T10-000. If anyone has any pictures of old Queensland Taxi Cabs showing the number plates, please email me a copy. They don't have to be FE or FC of course, unless you are going to post them here Better still, just send me the number plates ....

Hi, I work for ACTION, Action stands for Australian Capital Territory Omnibus Network. Prior to this we were all part of the Dept of the Interior. I found this photo going through the retirees website that has just been put together. Obviously all the usual copyright apply. The photo was taken in 1975. This was when it changed over to ACTION from the Dept of Interior and the new logo was incorporated into the stop. Obviously the bit of interest is the FC standard in the background.

That Canberra photo will be Woden or Belconnen given the date. Can anyone zoom in on the number plate on the HJ?
We need a bus route geek to give us the route No. details.
Colin.

The bus route 45 went from Civic to Latham, via the Higgins interchange before the Belconnen Interchange was built. The Route 440 traveled from the City via Hawker to the Higgins Interchange. I am trying to chase up some old timetables from the retirees to try and find out at what point these two runs intersected each other to give me an Idea as to where the photo was taken.

If ever you needed proof of the statistic that Holden had 52% market share during the FC's run, you only have to look at that photo of the Cahill Expressway. What a cracking photo. Top stuff Alex, as always.

Great photo of the FC out the front of the continental in Cowes that is the same street and place that we had our nationals line up and main dinner in 2006. Brett
