Go the turbo, Pedro. You'll almost certainly end up parked beside fellow SCWs at Orange; some with exotic foreign motors with ribbed polished and painted alloy 'rocket' covers, ceramic-coated works of art, pearled glove box lids; even 'helmut' air filter covers, and god knows what other surprises!  I've also heard that yet another possible entrant has some rather unique and very attractive art-work on the inside of their boot lid!!  So if you want to keep up with the Jonas's Jones's, maybe the twin turbos would be the go... On the other hand, if you wish to thumb your nose at these pretentious SCWs, go for a grey interior... (I just happen to know where you can get one real cheap ) cheers, jack |

G'day Pedro,
another idea to see how straight the car will look, and this is how i checked how straight my FE was when i was blocking it back, is to wipe some Prepsol/ Prep wash over the area you are working on and look at the reflection to see if there are any ripples or highs or lows.

G'day Ed, unfortunately the outlet is right where the chassis rail sits and i can't go any lower unless i change to a VK radiator which has the outlet slightly higher but the inlet is on the wrong side, after measuring everything up I "think" i can put it where it is supposed to go as long as i don't run a fan.

Or modify the top? If you look at Fatboys thread you can see how he fit up a VN rad by modifying both the lower rail and upper rad support panel.
the build is looking good.. keep those pics coming.

Or move the outlet to where you need it after sinking it into the rail.
Or a custom Alloy radiator made to the dimensions you need.

Hey Pedro,
Make one... The Vt commodores plastic tanks go on them apparently but the cores are sometimes still good. I got one from a radiator mob, and then cost me about $50 in aluminium for the tanks and the cap. Then $200 to get it welded up...
Have a look at some of my pics you will see what i have done...

Getting one made is starting to sound like the best option, being a stubborn ba***** though I'll have one more go, Kathi has sent me some pics of what John has done and I'll go and have a look at Jason and fatboys ideas, It's not the cutting and making it fit that's the problem it's re-routing the chassis rails without interfering with the sway bar, bumper bar front of the engine etc.    Just doesn't fit either way. When all else fails I polish chrome. Go and find a nice chrome piece, give it a good polish and for motivation think about how much you want to get through to the stage of putting the chrome back on your car.
