WooHoo, the old girl has finally gone to the sandblasters, thanks to some motivational therapy from aunty Kathi Wink Cheesy, will be done thursday and then the real fun and games start, the hardest part to decide so far is paint colour, there are heaps of pics of FC's on the site with some really flash paint jobs and good colour schemes, but so far i haven,t been able to decide what i want to do on mine. Huh

Hey Pedro - great to hear.  You're gonna have trouble sleeping the night before it comes home!

Have fun thinking about colours - but if there was gonna be a vote, mine would be for a very clear and bright silver with a black flash!  What wheels are you thinking about?

Glad that I, along with the rest of the F4+ crew, could be of service in making sure you regained your motivation!

I'll probably lay awake all night thinking about colour schemes, one good thing about the silver is it doesn't show the dirt, but then again the black would, it'll be that combo or light and dark blue or then again maybe Huh Cheesy
Wheels, thats another decision i've been putting off, it partly depends on whether i go with the v6 or not, I'm going to see Darren next door about that vs t'morrow. and thanks to the crew for the support.

Geez i stuffed that up, somehow i managed to put my reply in Kathi's quote Roll Eyes, can't wait to get the angle grinder and the mig into action jamie, I've helped other people do their cars and done cars to sell, but this is different this car is for me and it's going to be the car i drive until i'm too old to drive or they cart me off in a box, I get no pleasure out of driving modern cars they are just a means to get from a to b, i'm itchin to get started on those rust holes and playing with motors Grin.

Tried to post some pic's but photobucket seems to be extremely slow at the moment, wife just had bad news from doc. so the car isn't important anymore until we know what's happening.

yeah i was going flat chat on the FC to get to wintersun, working till 2-3am every night and then one night I was spraying the insides of the doors and my missus cooked some chips, sat down for diner, left the stove on, set the kitchen on fire after dropping a suacepan full of burning oil on the kitchen floor, burnt her hand, we kind of both cought on fire trying to put it out but she got 3rd degree full thickness burns and i only got a few small 2nd.
still it put me out of action for the next two nights and cuased a few other delays but we were still trying, decided yesterday to pull the pin on getting the FC there and drive up in the ford, no chance of finishing that in this weather, but then today the doc says that she definately needs surgery tomorow and wont be able to travel up to wintersun.

Hi FCCOOL

We were aware of you and your wife's misfortune through the ozrodders site.  (another, but definitely a more serious, feral chip incident as Pedro would say)

Best wishes to her for her surgery and hope she recovers quickly (you too). Look after her  Cheesy

There's plenty more events to go to in your car when it's done.

Thanks for the kind words, when i recieved the news yesterday i immediatly thought the worst, but after talking with people that have been through the same thing, and if things haven't progressed too far she could come through it alright, but we won't know for sure till the next round of tests, we're trying to be positive anyway.
Here's the pics of the wagon.

They look great when they come back like this

Until you kook closer.

This was worse than i thought.

So was this.

The old girls not too bad really, needs four floor pans and the usual sub frame repairs.
