It's a bit darker in real life my camera tends to make it look a bit light, went to the Holden mob and found out the colour of the new dunnydoors, It's called red hot but when i took the numbers back to the paint shop they said it's sting red, apparently they are using the same colour just re-naming it for different models.

I think you may have missed my earlier comments re-moving Mark, unfortunately this will be my last progress update for a while  Sad, I have to re-paint the interior of the house after our rental experience, do some touch ups on the outside and finish off a few little jobs so we can put this place on the market and move back to the Gold coast hinterland, today I'm packing boxes so I'm managing to sneak a bit of time on here Wink.

the extractors almost fit they will just need bending slightly.

Nearly ready for the market then i can get back to work on the wagon, just spent the last couple of days shoveling and raking 60 tons of gravel, certainly puts things in perspective Roll Eyes I've got my motivation back and am now looking foreward to getting back to the FC.

I used the landing piece that i had to put on the bottom of the stairs to pass council for a verandah on the cubby.

Bobcats take money from FC's Wink, actually I'd better clarify what i said, I got the truck drivers to drive along and dump it as they went so i just had to spread it around evenly and level it, It's a good way to keep fit and burn off a few rum calories.

Roller & water truck is all you need now to finish the job.

I have not had a look at the El cheapo rebuild for awhile. lo and behold you have made great progress and it looks great.

Cheers Jim

Thanks Jim, although i think i should change the title to "not so el-cheapo rebuild" now,
Well we didn't sell the house, so we are staying another year or until the market picks up again, which  on the negative side means we've had to unpack again for the third time Roll Eyes Sad, but on the positive side means i can get back to work on the wagon this week Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin.

Finally met someone else in the bay who is into FC's and would you believe he only lives just down the road from us, Ray is almost finished doing his FC panelvan and was chasing a few bits to finish it, luckily we met up as he had a HD/HR front end he didn't want so I swapped him what he needed for his car for it, we both got what we wanted and now i can finally get back to working on the old girl, I'll get the outrigger from Rod's racks but am short all the steering linkages if anyone out there has some they don't need, I'll pay cash or exchange for parts if I've got anything someone needs.

Thanks Keith, I'm just stoked to have something to get stuck into, I can now do the engine mounts and once i get the brake adaptors i can work out the wheelbase so i can cut down the diff etc, the front end was the starting point for a lot of other jobs.
how's your project going, been able to sneak in any days lately.

Hi, Ray is a nice bloke.

I'm currently visiting my family in Maryborough and popped over and saw Ray the other week. Did Ray show you his other cars?

Since I own fxfjholden.com I was very interested in his 2 door FX Coupe.

Cheers

G'day Jason, I've only met Ray a couple of times so far but he strikes me as being a genuine up front sort of bloke, being the only FC owners in this area i think we'll be seeing a bit more of each other too, yes he showed me his collection, all classics but the hot rod and the 2 door FX were the stand outs.

Hi Pedro.
I've got some steering linkages that I don't require.
I am in WA though so postage may cost a little?
PM me maybe if you're interested. Smiley
