1  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Bench seat on: August 23, 2024, 05:54:11 PM
I recently changed the front seat in my sedan, via the passengers door.  no need to remove anything except perhaps the seatbelt mounting bolts.
2  General / 2025 - Cockburn, WA - 20th FE-FC Nationals / Re: Pronunciation ... on: August 18, 2024, 07:14:55 PM
Yep, like the actor, James.  He starred in 'Our man Flynt' for those who don't know him.

Picture looks good, well detailed.  However I see a Fiat inspired custom version of a Commer Van with wide whites, dress rims and cone shaped baby moons.
8  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Repair/Rechrome damaged badge - is it worth the effort on: December 01, 2023, 06:22:04 PM
Craig,

in the model railway world, there is low temperature solder.  It is used for white metal kits.  Some of that might be your filling solution.

Hi Gman,

The weathershield is mighty attractive.  If you don't want it for your van, I'm interested.
12  General / General Board / Re: Echuca Holden and Deniliquin Depot Museum visit on: July 01, 2023, 06:06:30 PM
Other mouse button, select view or open image in new tab.  Everything's exposed then.
13  General / General Board / Re: Holden head office Neon Sign .. on: June 21, 2022, 04:46:55 PM
I think that sign was from the "Holden House" dealership building on Church St Parramatta (ex-Heartland / Boyded / Fair Deal Carsales).

It was built in 1952 & was demolished last year.

Dr Terry

The building still stands 9or part of it does), I drove past it on Friday.

Bit late to reply but...  I have found these (or something similar) in VC and VE Valiants at wreckers.  Just keep your eyes open.
16  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Manual box behind a grey on: December 10, 2018, 12:12:51 PM
If you're going to fit a synchro 3 speed and keep the column sifter, I reckon you could go an Aussie 4 speed with your column shift and have a secondary gearstick on the floor for reverse. All four forward gears should work off the column. It will change the shift pattern though.

Some of us may remember the twin stick shifter that was available for Aussie 4 speeds in the early 80's, these used a separate (and smaller) stick for reverse.

17  General / General Board / Seen this morning on: April 20, 2017, 09:42:10 AM
G'day everyone,

While driving to work this morning, on the Hume Highway at Liverpool at 9:00,  and about to look at a Hyundai Velociraptor stopped at the lights (bored, nothing else to do blah blah blah) I saw a familiar headlight shape come into view.  it was an Oceanmist (or similar colour) FC Ute, Qld plates NFC-509.

It has US Racer looking wheels, maybe 7' wide and sounded like it has a grey motor.  It was heading south and looked very nice.

18  General / General Board / Re: Advice needed on: June 06, 2016, 11:49:27 AM
Wise choice.  And yep, Fiats aren't worth a brass razoo.
19  Galleries / Little Cars - Members' Model FEs and FCs / Re: FE Vans are here on: June 06, 2016, 11:30:36 AM
John, my Oceanmist FE 'Vann arrived this morning.  Looks very good.

And here's a new one for Fast Eddie.  Might be quicker than the XC...
