well , tonite i just came from rares at auburn, bought sum door rubbers for me holden, and the good folk there told me that these scratch plates are now in production, and are expected shortly , even showed me their latest info sheet and yes the scratch plates are listed down to be repro'ed...

scratch plates just sold for $800 on the bay, f/me!!!  ???have people gone mad?... ..now i should be thinkin to sell the nos set i have had  for nearly a decade ..just as spares, i could really clean up

i had a set made  , actually  2 sets for me made by top tyres in blacktown...i was very happy the last set was for my hk i supplied standard rims got em widened with a new outer  for about $70 per rim...

Unfortunately, Will is in SA and the way that SA deals with the old white on black numeric plates on transfer of car ownership is exactly as Collecta has stated.

So Will's options are very limited if he really wants a white on black numeric plate for his car. It's either keep the car registered in his mother-in-law's name until she departs this world (ensuring it's included in the will) - or - purchase one at auction (he'll then have proprietary rights enabling him to transfer it to any vehicle he owns at any time).

wow , thats b/s  ....... i have my original "B"  black /yellow number plates for my 59 fc that was my first car and still own after 25years,  transfered to another car that has full rego, few years back for its annual inspection the inspector  said that i may have to get my original plates remade due to paint fade...well i never been back to him!....i have previously on other plates repainted em, and with time you can make them look like new ...but its illegle and i can get a on the spot fine .....would you believe i now  have polished  and have waxed my  original "b" nuber plates to look betta...things we do....

yeh things happen and genuine sellers get jerked about , i have been stung, i can understand where "fc hq" is coming from...
my mate last week had his xw ute 351 gt look alike rego nice car etc on the bay ....plenty of bids /people came to look ,offered to buy it before the end of auction etc,...kept it on der bay,went past his reserve  got $19 grand for it..well  the guy who won it was a "new" zero feedback guy,& emailed straight after auction ended  the "buyer" cant offorded  to buy it ....half and hour latter he gets a call from a guy who  had come and looked at it ,and had put a few low bids  asked him if the car was still for sale..and then offered him $12 grand cash for it???,that night, my mate told him to stick it ,moved the car from his place that night  reported him to the ebay ,not that it will do good....

sorry grant ...2  fc's i have are rusted out in the vent area...and one other was closed shut and bogged over ...didnt even notice this before had this car for ages, will ask one of my mates see wot he hads got .

i have seen this car , and it is a good honest car, not a bogged up rust bucket,it was very clean proir to its repaint...how do i know because i was going to buy this car back in 2002  when it was for sale , pete beat me to it !...since then we have became mates and helped him out for spares/advice when he needed....
pete has offered me this car a few weeks back,as i always said if he was going to sell it i wanted first bite... i declined the offer, as a few weeks back i bought a caddy convertible that needs sum tlc,and  as at the moment  i have 7 cars on full nsw rego...(yeh crazy i know ..but ..its a addiction)....
if you are after a genuine car that can be driven everyday this is the car and worth a look.!!!!
