It just gets better and better... Looks great Craig; you must be getting excited at the prospect of getting it on the road by now... Be interesting to see what you do with the interior (it will need to be bloody good to match the rest of the car!) cheers, jack

Hi its gassa here or the kid as talked about by jack, the fc looks nice good to see it went to a good home,im currently building a fc ute gassa style it ready for paint next month, pitty the body wasn,t as good as the sedan.motor is a 212ci red hoping to run a 12 sec pass aspirated
Gday Mark; long time no see! As you've probably seen, there's been quite a few changes to the old girl since I bought it off you. But haven't changed a thing (internally) on the motor; it's done 24000 km now, and other than a new accelerator cable and 2 good tune ups (done by a mate who really knows modified red sixes) haven't had to touch it - still runs hard and sweet as a nut There would be a lot of people on this forum other than Alex and me who would be really interested in info and pics of the ute build, so how about it? You may find the odd sceptic who doubts you can get into 12s with an unblown red; after experiencing what you and Ron got out of the red in my car using just a pair of pissy Stroms, I definitely wont be one of them... cheers, jack ps please give my regards to your 'oldies'!

For Sale and Wanted / Cars For Sale / FC standard sedan

Noticed this advert in the Warrnambool (Vic) 'Standard' -
"A Classic Holden FC sedan, original unrestored, ex. condition. Mechanically redone, drive it dont restore it. Club rego. $6500, ph 0408521725"
The pic with the advert shows what appears to be a standard sedan, white or beige in colour, seems to have some surface rust...
I dont know the car and have no affiliation, but someone here may be interested.
cheers, jack

I've got what I hope is a full set of grille bars Very straight but slightly blackened from when my shed burnt down... cleaned one up and it came up OK...

I've seen convex 'chromed' plastic ones that look OK; unfortunately don't know the source, but they are clearly made specifically for the job and would have to be reasonably cheap...

Not sure, Mark... I think I recall some theory about a longer inlet tract possibly giving increases in mid-range torque in modified red sixes... But then again, I AM an old bastard, and increasingly find myself thinking of the 'hereafter'... (as in walking down to my shed to do a job and when I get there thinking "WTF am I here after"... )
