What's the biggest rubber anyone's fitted in the rear end with factory spring location and tubs

No tubs I'm 225/50r15 and I only rub on big bumps with 1 or passages in the back

127  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: soldering on wiring harnesses on: December 21, 2013, 01:35:38 PM
Nice and simple
And something everyone has at home

I still straight line twist before I solder and it only makes the wire slightly larger then it is
And I always stager the joins unless there is only 1 or 2,

I found you 20-30w solders just don't cut it either you need a good 80watt or gas
To get it hot fast so you don't melt the cable
128  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Re: Dress Rims on: December 19, 2013, 08:17:06 PM
I run 8" on front and 10" or rear(205/55r15 225/50r15)
And love it rain hale and shine
If got the stocks on rear at the moment and thing is all over the place at 50mph+

129  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Dual thermo fans on: December 19, 2013, 02:08:08 PM
I like to you the controller to control a second relay with does both
Fans
I also fitted a on/off/on (3 posion) switch in line from the controller to the relay
And put a led light on the out wire

That way I can either run the fans through the controler as designed to or turn them straight on if I no I'm in heavy trafic or being stuiped
The led is so I know when they are on

from there site

Street Rods and Customs can be registered for full time road use in most States of Australia, so long as the normal registration and third party insurance fees are paid. To become fully registered a vehicle is required to have the necessary paperwork, this includes an Engineers Certificate, Roadworthiness Certificate, transfer and or previous registration papers, weight bridge certificate and comply with the National Street Rod Registration Guidelines. Engine and chassis numbers must be clearly visible.

Most States also now have an ASRF administered Street Rod Registration which is similar to the club registration enjoyed by the restorer type car clubs. Vehicles are restricted to only being driven to and/or from sanctioned events, whilst undertaking repairs, or with express written permission. The fees associated with this form of registration are much less. To obtain Street Rod registration, owners must be a member of the ASRF and have undergone an inspection by the relevant TAC.

but have read 90 days a year driving unrestricted, and up to 460ci (the bit i like)

137  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Magneto vs electronic ignition on: November 22, 2013, 06:23:05 PM
If it out right performance
Ditch both thoes
And go full electronic, (msd or other)
Second would be a graft of ford 6 dizzy top on your bottom
Third would be electronic replacement points for your stock dizzy

And you'll see a heap of change from 2500
138  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Re: Need plenty of your advice please on: November 18, 2013, 08:21:19 PM
