just saw the chrome stips on the side of your FE and I have just acquired an FE in primer with the holes down the side for the same strips. Is this highly sought after in original? it came without the chrome strips...Is it hard to acquire?

Not necessarily highly sought after, but certainly pretty rare.  They come up from time to time.  You can expect a complete kit to cost quite a few hundred dollars, even second-hand.  Just so you know what you're looking for, this particular kit is called a "Tilli's Detroit Flash", and is one of about a half-dozen assorted varieties.  (Others for FE include Victoria, Victoria Twin-Line, and Dart, OTTOMH).
