It's Jim with the typo, Rod's original post does say trim code 304, which is Ascot Grey over Dominion Maroon.
Does the car have a 5" piece of stainess trim at the base of the "C" pillar, separating the roof colour from the insert colour, which continues over the boot? If so it was built between Nov '58 and May '59. If instead it has a thin diecast trim from the trailing edge of the driprail to the leading tip of the fin, then it was later than that. If it has neither (which I doubt), it is May-Nov '58.
Ken might pull me up here, but I reckon it is probably early-ish 59. The flashing brake lights aren't proof, as these were dropped at the end of September 1959. Does your body plate have the word "INSERT" on it? From the codes you've given I'm presuming not, in which case it is the FJ-mid-'59 type ID plate. (At some point in 1959 changes to the ID plate were made to show the PAINT, INSERT and TOP colours as three distinct numbers).
Also, going by the body number and chassis number which seem likely to tally (but Ken could say for sure), 30,000 puts it slap bang in the middle of the FC range (05/58-12/59), with about 60,000 vehicles at each of the three plants, which I'd say puts it about March 1959. Indeed, chassis numbers starting with FC were introduced 11/12/1958, which makes your chassis
far more likely to belong to a '59 model.
That's my semi-educated guess, anyway
cheers
