Picking up a FC wagon on Thursday.
Old girl has been sitting in a barn since 1982. Prior was used to run the kids down to the bus stop each morning, rarely even saw the road.
All original, and complete but it's a bit if a mess.
I purchased without inspection as I got it for next to nothing, have been told rust is very minimal but surface rust is apparent in pictures.
She's had a possum taking up residence in her, probably mice too, so the interior will be interesting.
Engine can be turned over but the owner hasn't made any attempt to start her.

Looking forward to getting it home and seeing how deep I'm in.

You’re lucky Lowlife,  because Rod had agreed to sell it to me! Best of luck

Oh, that's lovely.  Don't even think about repainting the exterior . . .

Hey Ekute, think I spoke to you on FB the other day. No offence taken mate. Sorry it happened how it did. Was all without my knowledge obviously.

I'll talk to you after going over the car in more detail. At this point I'm planning on a resto, but always nice to have options.

As nice as the patina is, I was planning original colors. Probably an ideal car for rat rod styling though.

Thanks FireKraka.
This is my first FC, I've rebuilt two EHs, one original and one modified, encountered different challenges going in each direction.
This wagon is pretty original so I do feel it would be pretty sacrilegious to change that. Knowing that certainly doesn't stop those niggling little thoughts like "that 1UZFE would like nice sitting in there".

but realistically, it will be a standard resto, I'll do the rust repair and paint in original colors, keeping the old grey, and I'll try find a decent interior at a swap meet.

Got home safely with the FC, started cleaning out the interior, it was full of a lot of usable chrome that is not from an FC, I'll have to sort through it and see what's what and move it on to new homes.

Swept 3 inches of dirt out of the floors, all floors rusted through, but subframe is in surprisingly good condition, sills look good all round.

Will finish cleaning it this week and get it on the hoist for a better inspection.

Think I have a second set floating about too. At least I can pick the best ones.

Car had all external chrome except rear bumper on it already. All this stuff was on the rear floor covered in dust and hay. Fair walk of it isn't from an FC but rather sure it's all Holden.

Also some EH bumper parts and is that an FX over rider tucked underneath?

Better pic of the loot hiding in the back. All a little rough but could be worse.
