Great pics !

Interesting to note, in that town, parking was all angled reverse.

If more people today learned to reverse park, it would cause less accidents when trying to reverse OUT of a car bay into oncoming traffic tail first !

Most of the towns along the New England Highway still have predominantly reverse angled parking.  If you can't manage to reverse-angle park in Tamworth, best you walk.  Those who need two or three attempts to get it right along the Peel Street shopping strip can expect a car-horn symphony Grin

Ironically though, I'm pretty sure that part of Bridge Street in Muswellbrook has an enormous pedestrian refuge / garden traffic island down the middle of it and parallel parking in front of the shops.
