Hi.
Looks like a straaigh-line shifter, but I don't think it is Grey box. More than likely red motor box.
The NOS one I have here, has a part number as follows;
"SL 702" Serial Number "6459". these numbers are also stamped onto the lower mechanisms.
I will get a shot up asap (Got to go show a fella my FC in about 5 minutes!) of mine to show the differencce.

Regards,
Rob J

yes its a straightline but cant remember what grey one looks like, one thing for sure on a grey box shifter is much faster than box can handle resulting in crunching gear changes until you learn the right hand movements to syncro speed on box, make sure its in good condition or you will jam it going from first to second .Impala also made very tight H Pattern shifter for grey box's,an absolute pleasure to use,id say they were very rare to find one now but you never know your luck at swap meets .

Don't worry, get the polish tin out, give it a clean up & post it on the For Sale section. These puppies are worth good $$. You may even find someone who has one for a Grey, but is after one for a Red. You never know!

Goodluck,

Rob's pic's Pretty much prove that it's not for a grey. Looks like it would fit up to a HR or something similar. A mate of mine used to have a HR van with  an impala fitted .It was always locking up, and he carried a lump of 2x3 under the seat to adjust it when it did Grin.
   Years ago we used to make up a floor change for greys by knocking a hole an the floor and fitting a home made shifter. It was just a straight bar with a linkage piece welded on the side and a bolt welded to the bottom.The bolt went through the first and reverse selector and the linkage fitted up to the second and third selector . Wasn't very Pretty and had a large gate depending on the length of the stick but worked a treat.
  Looked something like this
