in a rural car crash they are " Hold my stubby and watch this for skill!"

Hi guys

In NSW it does go off the standard weight of a sedan version of the model when working out the formula, I have heard that they were going to change the formula but I don't know if it has happened as yet.

If any conversion is "approved in principle" before said changes would'nt the releavant authority still need to honour their decision?

The NSW regs.

http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/downloads/vsi/vsi06.pdf

The 1100kg tare weight restriction applies to 4 cylinders and rotaries.

Read the guide and check with your engineer, however my interpreation is that an FC can still run up to about 318 cubic inches.

GUys,

I think it should be still OK.

the doc is dated April 2005.  My car was registered after this.

Also unsure if "approval in principle" actually exists either as the signed report is the document required.  You cannot get one without having been inspected prior.

Principle alone cannot get you a signed report.

It says nothing about V8's not being allowed, merely capacity.

From what my engineer let on, he reckoned the capcity  limits would drop significantly when it does happen, however I have heard about these laws since the day I started my project... that was 9 years ago.

Cheers

Ed
