Hi, due to a change in circumstances I am offering my FC special for sale. It has a 186 engine with HC head and twin X2 carbies, Holden M20 4 speed box, HT diff centre in Eh housing, HR Disc front end, CRS Chassis kit, electric wipers, 14 x 7 Centreline Pro mags, bucket seats and two tone pearl paint, Chardonnay Roof and Burgundy bottom. The car has been on the road for about 9 years and has a few minor battle scars, but it is still a head turner. Motor has done about 400 miles since it was built. It has a slight rear main seal leak, but doesn't use oil between services, which it gets every 1000 miles or six months.
I am selling it  for  $10500. the car is currently not registered, but has full SA rego, I will put six months rego on it for an SA buyer. I will e-mail photo's to anyone who is interested.
Cheers

Jockster, sorry to hear the car has to go.    THat car has been my main source of inspiration for the last few years, with pics of it plastered all over my computer.

Wish I had a spare 10 grand to send your way, as you know how much I love the paint colours.

It's funny  isn't it....what you are asking for your whole car, I just paid to have mine painted.

If timing was better, I could have paid you the $10 grand for the paint, and got the car for free.

I hope you get a quick sale and it goes to a good home.

Cheers

Thanks for the comments Mark, I know how much paint costs these days, I just finished an AMC Hornet V8 and that was in straight black and still came out pretty close to what I am asking for the FC.
I am not that keen to sell the old girl but I have run out of space and a new project is about to enter the scene so the shed space is required and I don't want the FC to be sitting out in the weather all of the time as it is way too good a car for that. Although it's not a perfect car anymore, it is still a pretty good vehicle and as you well know they cost a lot more to build than what I am asking.
Cheers

Yeah, getting close...real close actually.

Just have to:

- Run Fuel Lines from Front to Back
- Run Brake Lines from Front to Back
- Interior
- Front and Back Windows
- Wheels.

The fuel and brake lines are being done by a mechanic as soon as he gets back off holidays in about a fortnight.

The Windows are ready to go, but can;t go in til the hoodlining is in.

The interior is being done by a mate of mine and will be the one thing that will take the longest due to his lack of free time.

Wheels are almost sorted.

Should have it running though within a month....then the tuning of triples begin !

Sounds like you are almost there Mark, interior can take a while though. Tuning the triples is usually not that hard, just requires patience and a good carby balance tool or vacuum gauge or manometer.
I thought I'd better post some image links of the car too, hope I have done it right.
Cheers
Jock

I will let you know if the sale doesn't go through, but it looks fairly likely that it will. Where are you located and what sort of FC are you looking for as I know of some others for sale.

The FC is still for sale due to circumstances beyond the control of myself and the potential buyer who had put a deposit on it.

Hi Yogi
The car is not sold and I had decided in the last couple of weeks not to sell it........now a guy has turned up and wants to buy it and wants it converted to an auto, which he will pay for. I am now pondering just which way to go, I don't need shed space as badly as I did, but the money could be well used on the T Roadster.
Cheers

Thanks for the reply Jock,

It is a nice looking FC .....I have kept details of the previous sale advertisements and was just following up.   If things don't work out with the current interest in the vehicle and you decide now or later to sell the car ... ...please  drop me an email at  pnbrown_23@optusnet.com.au
I am in Melbourne.

Yogi
I will do that if I decide to sell and the current interest doesn't raise the money, I must admit I am becoming more reluctant to sell it the more I look at it.

Jock,

Did you end up selling your FC or are you holding on to it?

I have been looking for a while now and keep coming back to this car.

Hi Gaz
I still have the car, not activelly trying to sell it as I have started to use it a bit more and wouldn't mind keeping it until the 2008 Nationals as space is not as big an issue as it was. But like anything I own it is always for sale for the right offer and I am looking hard at an XW GT Replica but so far have restrained myself.
For the moment it will stay here but if I get an  offer that is fair and acceptable I would probably let it go.
Cheers
