Can anyone help out with an economical way to get two rear doors and a couple of sill panels from the Gold Coast to Adelaide?

I had thought about that, but between my "non-car-nut" brother and the Bus Freight people, I figured the doors may not stand a chance.

Next question, how much do doors weigh, they won't take anything over 20kg.

Stinky.I bought an EH 149 engine in Wangaratta Vic and needed it sent 900 kms to where I live in N.S.W. and I went through a freight company called "Vicfast" with the cost from pickup at Wang to my door being $152.24.I costed it out with doing the trip myself (XR8 F#*@$on)and worked out that I couldn't have even got to Wangaratta with a trailer for that price let alone the return trip cost.
In comparisan I got a quote from a very well advertised national freight company with very pretty trucks and the letters TLL in their name plus another vowel (but I'm not saying their name for legal reasons Wink)and their quote was $350 and I would also have to drive to their depot 80 km away to pick up the motor there as they wouldn't deliver door to door.
Go to http://www.fbekholden/forum and look under topic "Got Something To Say",scroll down to my post "Looking For A Cheap Freight Company" on Dec 9 '05 and the contact details for the bloke I dealt with at Vicfast are there.Vicfast deliver to most states except N.T and Tassie.
I'm sure your doors and other parts won't weigh as much as a 149 Wink so they should'nt be as expensive to freight.
No harm in ringing them for a quote.
P.M   Me if you want to know more.

Terry.

P.S. I don't work for Vicfast. Wink

Thanks all for the responses, I am overwhelmed, thinking I wouldn't get much of a response I put the question on two boards and now I have 6 leads to follow up.

Steven, was that Bus Freight you used? Was there any damage?
