now i have rooted through the back shed, and found a 2barrel, but it came off a 253, are these the same as the 6cylinder ones? if so, did all of them have the thermostat housing/auto choke hanging off the side?, it seems this only just stops me from having 2 of these on a manifold, and the adaptor on ebay only has a couple of hours left, so any help is greatly appeciated!!!!!!!

Darcy,

Here is an image of the one you are talking about.

and here's one I found that's off a later model, a HZ.

FWIK you can remove and block off the choke assy, but you will need to replace it with a manual choke setup.

But maybe not with two of these on a grey..........

Best guy to talk to is probably Dr Terry or the guy who advertised carby reco-ing on the site a little while ago.

Cheers,

Craig.

hi guys,
i bought 2 adaptors to mount ww stromberg onto grey motor, and i have just come across 11 more! (if anybodys interested, pm me).

i was thinking that it would be best to buy the new speco adaptor that goes from ww stromberg to holley, one 350 holley would be plenty for the grey huh?

anyway thanks for your help Craig
