Steering wheel assembly

I have a FB - EK steering wheel & I,m having trouble getting the Horn to work when I fit the wheel, when I short the horn out it works but once I fit the wheel nothing happens,
Do you have a different size horn contact/spring for this set up ?
Am I fitting the contact properly ?
Or perhaps someone should start me from the beggining , i.e. fit wheel then horn spring , bakelite washer ,horn ring , horn button.

There are probably 2 main areas to look at,
The contactor which goes through the wheel onto the brass ring underneath needs to be good
The flex spring goes on with the centre upwards - that is it is always in touching the contactor mentioned above and when the horn button is pushed, it flexes and completes the circuit when it touches the centre of the steering wheel.
You can check that bits are working by shorting with a screwdriver

Could you please tell me what the contact brush assembly consists of ?
I have a metal contact brush , spring and insulated surround .
Does the spring fit over the contact ? and i assume the flat part of the contact fits onto the brass ring that is located under the steering wheel . if so what does the spring do, it seems to be short ( remember this is an EK wheel, perhaps I have some wrong bits )

Hey Griffo, here is the diagram directly from the Holden manual, now you can check you have all of the correct stuff in the right order, hope it helps.
