Just been checking out a site that contains pics by Jeff Hislop, featuring many colour pics of the early days of Australian Drag Racing, esp Castlereagh. Over 300 pics, and each of them worth checking out. Here is a snap shot, including the 3 FE FC pics amongst the collection.

I have a huge like for early Gasser style cars, and there are heaps of these amongst the pics. Here is a bunch more.

Here is the link to the site. Go to Gallery and follow the links under Drag Racing....lots more awesome pics there.
There is a copyright on the images, so contact the folks at the site if you want to use any pics.

Great find Alex, post of the year!!!

Here is one of my personal favourites from the days at Castleragh - the Mustard coloured 'DUEL' Torana. A screaming red motor that lifted the wheels in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I loved this car, and ended up buying one the same colour.

now that's a launch!!! Naturally aspirated red motor - I wish I could hear the noise it made again, it was just amazing.

Hey Craig
That second pic is how I remember it.
Here is another pic that shows 2 FE's including the Spray Chief car. The name of that Anglia is a lil non-PC these days, but the orange windows will always be cool.
