FC Sedan/Ute Combo Bash Car

Our town played host to 87 cars from the Qld Variety Club on their bash last night.  Some of you may have seen this one before, or know about it.  6 wheeler sedan with ute grafted on the back

Big weekend, because tonight the NSW Variety Club are overnighting here.

Gday Ray,
I think the vehicle you are thinking of is a yellow HR with 6 wheels.  It was still at the Dalby wreckers when I came past there a fortnight ago.

I've some video footage of this beast from the 1999 XXXX Variety Bash. It was built from an FC sedan and a ute tub by a couple of Air Force guys at Amberley. They even carried a little Bell Jetranger chopper in the back - facing backwards without the rotor blades and re-attached them to fly off for supplies when needed.

The QLD club album has a few shots of this car from a few years back.
From what I know the car was built by the Army for a variety type charity bash. Maybe some one here can shed a little more light on the subject.
