The FE/FC Holden Car Club Of Vic inc,
Is holding the 2005 Inter-Club Trivia Challenge tonight at the Bentleigh Club at 7.30. We have 180 people taking part which is a great turn up but still have room for 5 more so give me a call on 0412360992 or take pot luck and turn up on the night. Heaps of prizes and give aways on the night. Music, sports, general and of course Holden Triva, so everyone can take part.
 Cheers Tony Galea Smiley

Congratulations Victoria

This was a great night and the dozen of us that attended from Canberra thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We can't wait to see you all again next year - the 11th Nationals can't come soon enough!

I was particularly excited to see the special bottles of VIC FE-FC Club wine available and I'm pleased to report that my batch arrived safely last night. (No Haggis McTailshaft incidents).

Cheers, Tim.

Good to see you behaved yourself, Tim. Not sure I can say the same about Mrs. Haggis McTailshaft?

A great thrill to have the Canberra mob turn up unexpectedly at the trivia night on Saturday night. They had booked a table but very sneaky booking it was so hence the big surprise on their arrival. It was a good night albeit rather a concern with some major sound hitches with our Mr Tivia man though we got round them as best we could, next time there will not be the same problem i can assure you!!!!!!!! We had over 180 people in attendance which will all go well towards our fund raising efforts for Phillip island. The Official Nationals Wine was a real hit and we will get some photos of the selection and some order forms up on the forum for those that are interested.
Thanks again to all the Canberra crew for making the night a little more special.
Cheers

Thanks to Tony & Dina (& Tony's Dad) for putting on a nice sunday bbq lunch for us all.  Very much appreciated and a chance for the guys to check out Tony's shed.

It was a great weekend and one that we all agree will be repeated next year sometime.

We even thought we would conduct an experiment on the bus trip back to the Hotel from the Trivia Night.    Tongue

Experiment = Can a 12 seater automatic Toyota Hire Bus, fully loaded with 11 drunks + 1 sober driver, drag off an old Nissan Skyline station wagon with only one occupant.

Answer = Yes.  Get all your passengers to lean forward and break wind. Shocked

It can be done........ just ask the ACT guys.... Grin

Please note that this experiment should not be repeated and was conducted in a controlled environment using the very best of safety equipment blah blah blah blah........

Thanks Martin.

It was a great excuse to go away for a weekend and not worry about things.

We all had a blast...... (without naked flame)......

Maybe we should think about a visit to SA some time soon..........

Good idea Kathy - you'd be welcome.

How about the Bay to Birdwood Classic - for cars 30 to 50 years old.  It's on 25 September.  Given that the "Classic" is a bi-annual event (alternating with the old vehicles over 50 years old) this will be the last time that some FEs will be able to enter with the remainder of the FE FC Club of SA.

I'll be putting a post up on the events board soon - but maybe not tonight - it's getting a bit late!

Regards,

Martin
