The ACT guys were released pretty much straight away, however the local constabulary decided that they would keep Torch locked away until he'd sobered up......

I hope he does not go where the Sports trophy went we would like to have him back in time for Phillip Island not send him via the Bermuda triangle as the Sports trophy did.
See you next April fella.

We found Torch!!! Shocked

We had a call from the Victorian Police to say that Torch had been deported from the ACT due to his drunk and disorderly conduct.  The ACT didn't want that sort of riff raff causing havoc in the Territory.

Soooo, the ACT guys decided to jet off to Melbourne to pick him up, after all, we don't want everyone picking on us for losing the Torch....

After picking him up from the Police Station we decided to do some touring of the Melbourne area.

Would you believe that the FE-FC Club of Victoria were having a Trivia Night while we were visiting Melbourne? Wink

What a perfect opportunity for a photo........

Not sure if you all remember, but this new ACT member (who closely resembles Tailshaft Tim), made an appearance at the karaoke night at the Jindabyne Nationals.  He is of scottish heritage, walked 500 miles, and goes by the name of Haggis McTailshaft.

Well, Haggis got hold of Torch and thought he might get in on the drink and downed a few at the Trivia night.....

Well, the ACT Club has finally managed to get Torch to spend his last days in the ACT visiting some of the top Canberra sites without managing to get into any more strife with the police.

Here's a few more photos with gp and Tailshaft Tim (that is definitely Tailshaft - not his elusive cousin Haggis)...

The Captain Cook Fountain on Lake Burley Griffin with the National Library in the background.

And almost finally, outside the War Memorial.....

There is one last photo we will be taking before we hand the Torch over to the NSW Club at the NSW All Holden Day this Sunday.  We will be taking a photo of the handover also so we have evidence that we did, in fact, pass it on......... Grin Shocked

And here's the last photos of Torch's Big Day Out in Canberra.  There was no way we could miss the opportunity of taking photos of Torch at the Australian Institute of Sport..... Grin
