Anyone any ideas what is used for the door & scuff panels, my original ones have been water damaged & need replacing.

.. as in door trim panels?

I am about to use 3.2 mm white backed masonite, I read somewhere else on here it's Ok.
Bought it from my local Bunnings.

My trimmer used standard masonite on my door panels, patterned on one side and shiny on the other. Material went on the patterned side.

Had thought of using masonite but seemed to be a bit thick & a bit too rigid to me, I imagined using some sort of 2-3mm 'compressed cardboard' type sheet especially for the scuff/kick panels where you need a bit of flexiablity.

Bunnings eh?  - Geez we'll be buying cars of then shortly

I used Luan Ply for my door trims, that was last century, back in 1986, think I got it from Mr Ply&Wood or similar.
It's a very thin ply sheet. worked well.

Yep the ply is better to use as it is thinner and more flexible
Masonite is very stiff - even for door panels

          New aftermarket one can be purchaces up here on the coast I got new kick panels from the same company and they are very good. I will find thier details if you are interested.

Door Trim Backing Boards. FE/FC Holden $24.20ea. Tell Linda your a member of the FE/FC Holden Car Club and Mark gave you her details this way the club will become know to them and hopefully they will look after member.
They also do front and rear moulded carpet, kick panels, rear parcel shelf & roof linings along with all seals and rubbers (rare spares rep).
there seals and rubber prices are cheaper than rare spares. I have just priced out rubber kits through both companys for a EH Sedan I am restoring at the moment and Betta where cheapa. Hope this helps you out.
