Blacky, thanks for that.

The 2 chassis numbers at the bottom - they were on cars that had no ID plates - is that right?

Rather unique, cars from Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth all end up as wrecks in the one place!

Sad, but great pics Blacky just the same.

I recall when you could drive around bush dumping grounds around Sydney metro and see old stuff like that but not now.

Make the most of it and harvest what bits you can.

Gary's right, get this stuff while it lasts. Apparently there is a plan underway to pay farmers for scrap metal, which could spell the end for those shed and tip finds.

See here http://www.scrap.org.au/ for details.

This piece of 'advice' is the scariest bit

Quote
Make a list of what you have. Don't just look in the obvious places. Look around your dams, sheds and tips... You'll be amazed at just how much you'll find... and what it's worth!

Cheers,

Craig.

blacky,
what's the chance that you can grab the ute for the club trailer?
(one of them either the EK or FE)

Jezz , I will have a better look at them next time I am up that way , the FE ute is REALLY rusty , the EK wasnt too bad from memory , I took an EK ute to the tip last week , will see if it hasnt been squashed if you like .
These cars are 600 km away so I may not be able to get there until another job comes up around Wiluna way.

keep an eye out and when you have the chance,
we've got the equipment to make a trailer frame, and I've got someone that owes me a favour that can do a quick spray job.
just need a reasoanble body to start from.
