Does anyone know of anyone with 13" portawalls for sale? Antique Tyres are out for at least 6 weeks. John's Rod and Custom say maybe next year. Local Adelaide shops don't stock them.
I have found a place in the US with stock, but on investigation, costs are way to high to get them over here.

Good luck!!!! Stinky I have tried everywhere to no avail. Forget california Speed Shop I rang them direct and they dont have them. Antique Tyres has been telling me for about 4 months nowït will be about 6 weeks". They are having trouble with there supplier in britain and said he is very temperamental TAYZ

The list has expanded now
Rodtech (SA) Kustom City (QLD) OzRods (QLD) California Speed Supplies (QLD?) OG Speedshop (SA) Noone has them and no leads.
Someone on the ozrodders.com.au board suggested Ausam Wheels and SRVLIVES has a lead for me too.

might be a good idea if 3 or 4 people want a set, I couldnt see the shipping being too much more for 3 sets.

Stinky, have you tried Dave Stuart Tyres at Ingleburn NSW? Phone 02 9618 2788 or mobile 0428 282 360
$146 freight even for 3 or 4 sets still sounds too dear to me!

You'd be surprised on the amount freight costs, based on dimensions and weight that they gave me, this is with an express service that would have the stuff here in a week though. If I get 10 sets they will give a 10% discount, I might call Roly Leahy Custom Imports, he advertises in Just Cars "Nothing too big or small". Might have to wait a while longer, but at least I will get them. Then sell the other sets for pocket money.
or just go to 14" rims and buy the $105 Hankook thin whitewalls. :-/

There is a fellow in Brisbane who sells 13" whitewall tyres around $100 each and can apparently arrange cheap freight anywhere. Try Brian Waters on 0418 884883.
I have portawalls and they look great as they are a very wide whitewall. The downside is that they are not good for everyday driving - mainly only good for static cars due to the sidewall wear characteristics.

$100 each for whitewalls is about the ball-park, but they are only the thin white stripe. Wide White Walls I priced at Antique Tyres and only come in 14" and up were $300+ each! Hankook and Sumitomo both do thin whitewalls and should be available through any tyre store.

I'd be interested in 2 sets Jamie, providing they are wide ones, say around 3 inches or 80 mm. If you require the $ up front let me know by PM or phone is 0418 113321, I'm in Penrith NSW. Regards, Gary

Hey guys. When you talk about Antique Tyres, are you refering to these guys?
111 Canterbury Road Canterbury NSW 2193
How to contact them? (02) 97894174
I have bought porta walls from them in the past, but I won't ever put them on radials again. I now paint my whitewalls on. A bit fiddly, but much safer. Regards Alex

Custom FC What are you using to paint on the white sidewalls? I know it is paint of some kind, but what product details do you have.
Thanks
Michael
