G'day all,
I am in a bit of a quandry, i have been told i have a LJ Torana rear end , and as the handbrake cable has siezed went to purchase a new one from rare spares and he told me that i had a EH sedan cable in my grubby hands , now as i have a HR front end i would have thought i needed a rear end that suited a disc brake front end hence the LJ torrie (i dont have a proportioning valve in the brake line anywhere and the brakes work just fine ie no lock up)Anyway here are a couple of pics ,
                                 Cheers Rusty

Phantom, there is no such cable which will bolt up to a Torana (or HR) rear end as well as into the FC body mounts.
Your car may have been modified to accept a Torana cable or an EH cable as suggested or maybe the cable has been modified to fit the car.
Either way it is difficult to tell without seeing the whole package.
re brakes - The Torana rear end will work fine with the disc brake front end as long as it has the right wheel cylinders - which it sounds like it does.  No need for a proportioning valve.
