Hi there,

My first post here.  I was wanting to share some photos that I took on Sunday near Dayboro in QLD.  I was sitting on the corner of the mountain road waiting for the Nissan Z32 club to pass by (of which I am a member) when some beautiful FC Holdens passed me by.

I have a number of photos in my gallery at:

What a neat pair of Holdens!

I can't wait to get out on that road when I finish my rig.

I saw a beautiful fastback mustang and a factory perfect HK GTS 327 a few weeks ago out there when I was going for a drive.

Cheers

The Qld club held a run through there, we all saw you on the side of the road with your camera. We were ment to go to the Dayboro pub for lunch, but as you would have seen there were quite a few different car and bike clubs on the road that day.

I am not sure if the red FC is in our club, I am hoping he was not trying to meet up with us for lunch as we ended up going to Petrie village in stread.

Great photo, I will go and check out your web site.

Not wanting to sound picky, but I think you'll find it is a '56 Chev following the FC.

I am hoping you are not suggesting that I could mistake that uggly old Chev for a Classy Classic 58 Holden. After all a 56 is the uggly duckling of that era.

Now if we were talking 55's then it would only be wishful thinking.

I must say I did not read Dave's post so missed his mistake.

Hi Jim,

Yes I noticed how busy it was at teh Dayboto Hotel.  We continued on to Mt Glorious (just a quick sprint up the back of the range).  It was a great day out for driving and great to see the Classic Holdens out too.

This would have to be my favourite shot of the day:

(other than all the Zed photos of course  Grin)  Is it anyone that you know?

If anyone saw me on the side of the road on Sunday, send  me an e-mail to let me know what car was yours and I'll see if I have a shot of you.

Hi Mike
It was a great day for cruzin. The Two Tone Green 58 belong to Ron R, our Vice President & the Blue and White 58 belongs to Ron C our President . Yes I know it is a bit comical we have the two Ronnies running the show.

Hi Emu!

Probably cause I was pretending to lean on a walking stick so I could be in theme with the passing FCs and FEs Smiley

Nah, I just wanted to make it look like you were taking the corners as fast as the Zeds!

Here's another one:

And I better show off my baby too:

Did anyone else notice that the FC and Chev both had to stand on their brakes to go around the corner because the monaro was SO SLOW?
