Talking to Dave Baker the other night @ the NSW meeting about a couple of old FCs that used to be at a house on Stoney Creek Road around Hurstville-Bexley area.... I took my camera yesterday and found they were still there... here's a couple of shots... I couldn't tell you anything about 'em, but someone else out there probably knows them well....

Cheers...

Hmmm
2 FC standards Huh. You should have gone and knocked on the door. You might have had an interesting chat with the owner.

Would be good to get the story on these two cars.

Cheers Jim

This guy has had numerous FE/FC's over the years he lives just a few hundred metres from my parents place at Kingsgrove. The sedan restoration was paid for by the NRMA a couple of years agoe for the old guy to deliver his christmas toys in(pity he isn't looking after it). There was an article in the leader about 2 Christmases ago.

Dave and I went to tech with this guy to do a panel beating course. His name is Ernie from memory. I don't think he learnt a lot about panel beating, learnt more about sculpting bog. You wouldn't want to see what's under the paint of that wagon.

Hey Jim...
I would've loved to stop in, but was already running late for work unfortunately.... I probably would've looked like a right nutter knocking on the door and not being able to stay... it was a rare day that I didn't take my old girl to work too....
I didn't know if they'd still be there, it's been a looooong time since I've travelled that road...
Not sure if they are Standards, and just de-chromed Specials - they don't seem to even have the small fender strip, nor holes for 'em.... will have to go back again for sure one day though...

I think Dave Baker knew the owner... they went to tech together I think he was saying....

Thanks for the info Graham....

Cheers
Les....
