Hello all,

I just rang O'brien glass for a quote on making up new side glass.

They have requested that I bring them the old glass to use as templates.  this will happen Monday... before they can give me a quote.

If they do make up some new door glass, is anybody else interested?

I have no idea of price??

this is also to suit wagon, so if some sedan rear windows are to be made, somebody would need to supply me the windows ASAP.

Note this does not include the curved wagon rear glass.

Alternatively, Has anybody had glass cut previously, and would like to provide their supplier details to me?

Cheers

Ed

ED
I would be interested in getting this done as well. As long as the price wasn't over the top.

Guys try road runner windscreens,

http://www.roadrunnerwindscreens.com

they do kits for all of the glass panels for most early Holden cars, they do windscreens and rubber kits, and a lot of custom work v-butted glass and all glass is available in clear and green tint! laminated etc.
they are in Victoria, on (0412) 427-454
just as an alternative
Cheers

Hey ED.
I got new glass made a few years ago by Bob Moore Auto Glass. I got it made in a grey tint and also tempered. If you look close, it is a little bit wavey, so I would suggest whomever yo go to, you ask to see a sample of some completed work. They also asked if I wanted it with stamps or without.

Thanks guys,

At the moment Obriens has made me feel obligated to get them to quote it first (monday).

I will do this out of interest, it may come in at a reasonable cost.

As a guide.. Rares have side glass for sedans, around 85 for door glass and 50 - 80 for 1/4 windows.. I will bear this in mind, but they have no wagon rear door glass.

Fatboy will call you should Obriens be a non viable option.

Alex, may try Bob Moore as a Plan B, maybe their glass is better now?

Cheers

Just spoke to Ralph Moore glass (mascot).

He seems to know his old stuff alot better than Obrien's

So will go there for a look on Monday.

3 week turnaround for glass cutting.

Cheers for your help

haha...

OK.

Ralph Moore has my side glass.

The patterns will be sent away tomorrow.

I am getting front door (same as sedan), rear door and rear door quarter.

was quoted 88 per door glass and 44 for quarter.

That eqautes to $440.

If any wagon owners would like side glass, please call me to let me know on 0404 848 774 by tomorrow morning.

better still leave me an SMS with ur name and details.

Cheers
